Good to see everyone this evening and hasn’t May been such a different month compared to April; we clearly needed some rain but this much!!
I really enjoyed this evening, especially with the extended exposure to the technique of ICM, with special thanks to Kathryn for her knowledge in this area.
I started the meeting with my usual trawl through some of the things that have caught my eye over the internet and followed with details of a number of upcoming opportunities for our group.
We then moved onto our theme of the month, which was double exposures and ICM. This stumped one or two of you and as a bit of a technophobe myself, I can fully appreciate that. However, what a fascinating area of photography it is and I am grateful to Kathryn for joining us from The Greenwich group to show us what she’s been up to ( I have decided to include all 3 of her pictures, as they are all great and display different aspects of her exploration of the ICM technique). As for other stand outs, I loved James’s multiple shot from the Cemetery on Barnes Common, Bill’s painting and Juliette’s hand of death. But it was nice that we all tried to push ourselves with this and I for one will continue to explore this area when I can.
It was decided that our theme for next month will be Food, which is something we haven’t done for awhile.
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 15 June at 7pm and I look forward to seeing you all then.
All the best AW
