Windows.
Tony Othen writes:
The subject was windows which, for me, was hugely appropriate as I am addicted to photographing windows along with their shutters, especially in France.
Closing windows from the outside is something that we are less used to doing in the UK – we use curtains on the inside to stop the outside coming in or the inside getting out.
Here are a few examples
Carol Kenna – I have photoed windows – an architectural “eyes are the windows to the soul” or a reference back to The Window in the Willows when Mole and Ratty are trudging through the snow on their way to Ratty’s home – viewing little vignettes of the families safe indoors, but shut out themselves – for many years but undertook only to show new photos. This selection was all taken since July.
